The Richardson Wireless Klub (K5RWK) will be flying a 10 Meter CW Beacon on the Arbonet II flight. Please see the Fast Facts in this news listing for the latest information.
The original posting of Fast Facts will always be updated so there will be only one posting from which you can get the latest flight information.
Individual payloads are to be completed and tested for basic functionality (including thermal testing) by the weekend of April 14th. This is so that a “stack” test of all of the payloads can take place on that weekend to identify any RFI related issues that exist between the individual packages when placed into flight configuration. The exact location for the stack test is still TBD. By conducting the stack text on this weekend, we will have roughly two weeks to address any issues that we identify and aren’t able to resolve during the stack test itself.
K5NOT is taking the development of an ARBONET dedicated web site (you are viewing it! :) packaging of the Beacon Payload, acquiring and assembling the battery power, as well as payload antenna fabrication on as action items.
W5BL is in the process of fabrication the APRS and Cross band repeater payloads with technical support from N5IUF.
Members of the Lockheed, Irving and Red River Valley Amateur Radio Clubs have indicated a willingness to support this flight and we welcome their participation.
